February 4th-9th
Although we did not celebrate Groundhog's Day, I know that many of the students have been hearing about the groundhog and his shadow, so we are going to learn all about shadows for our next study. I am pretty pumped about all the fun things we can do with this study. Please feel free to stop in our classroom to see what we are up to. ;)
We will start the week off by finding out what we know about shadows and then I will begin to plan lessons around what we already know. Hopefully the sun will cooperate with us this week to get us excited about learning. I will update our blog as we go along. We are also busy with mid-year assessments to keep the state of Iowa happy, which is not as fun as shadows. Assessments are due the 15th, so hopefully they will all be sent in and we can celebrate with our Valentine Dance. We will celebrate love on February 14th with a dance and card exchange. A class list will be in your child's folder on Monday. If you are interested in providing a snack, drink, or planning a game or craft for our party/dance please sign up outside our classroom, or send me an email. hollieallen@gmail.com
Peace and happiness,
Ms. Hollie
